Charlotte Mitchell opened Charlotte’s Butchery in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2013. Before this, she worked for O’Shea’s of London and Lidgate’s in Holland Park. Charlotte is passionate about all aspects of the retail element of selling meat and believes strongly in good communication with her customers.
In terms of steak, in particular, Charlotte is an advocate for not judging a book by its cover – sometimes the best tasting steaks are not necessarily the prettiest.
Charlotte regularly appears on Sunday Brunch and is knee deep in writing her first book, which of course is about the meat industry. As well as meat Charlotte has a love for all quality produce particularly if there is an alcohol content.
