Born in Rome, Matteo Riganelli took his first steps in the kitchen close to his grandmother, who was the greatest source of his flair for cooking. What started just as a hobby soon became his greatest passion, and his love for his job led him to work with Michelin-starred chefs in both Rome and Milan.
But, as with any ambitious person, he wanted to explore new opportunities. In 2011 he moved to London where he improved his skills and developed a great passion for new ingredients and traditional cuisine. This philosophy is at the base of the Macellaio RC concept, where he has been Executive Chef across the group since 2013.
